Bloodborne Finally Gets Free 60fps PS5 Version, Here’s How

Bloodborne is without a doubt one of the best exclusive IPs PlayStation currently owns and it’s heartbreaking to see so little done with it.

For the longest time now Bloodborne players have been dying to see the game get an official PlayStation 5 port, a remaster if Sony was feeling generous.

The announcement of an animated film produced by YouTuber and superfan Jacksepticeye was a pleasant surprise but it’s still a far cry from what everyone was asking for. Fortunately Bloodborne’s 60fps PlayStation 5 version finally exists, and the best part is it’s free.

We Got Bloodborne On PS5 Before Bloodborne On PS5…

PlayStation gamers may have recently heard that your PlayStation 5 console has more potential than we originally realised.

The next-generation of consoles will seemingly blur the line between console and PC with the likes of Xbox looking to create the perfect hybrid system.

PlayStation doesn’t seem to be interested in such an ordeal but it doesn’t need to be, as PlayStation 5 owners have turned their consoles into working PCs using Linux.

If you’re disappointed in PlayStation Plus Premium’s PlayStation 3 game offering you’re in luck as there are now thousands of PlayStation 3 games at your disposable using emulation.

Bloodborne benefits from this discovery in a big way though, as months ago gamers managed to get the game working on PC, finally giving us a taste of what it’d be like running at 60fps.

Using your PlayStation 5 like a PlayStation 4 emulator you can now play that PC port of Bloodborne at 60fps from the comfort of your living, effectively doing what Sony has failed to do for years at this point.

You can see the port in action on X as gameplay was shared by TheWizWiki, and the best part is getting it working yourself is incredibly easy as long as you’re a bit tech-savvy.

There are several detailed guides on how to do it but just keep in mind that tampering with your console in any fashion will negate its warranty, and you also won’t be able to take it online.

It’s also worth pointing out that while emulation isn’t illegal by nature downloading ROMs from the internet is. So if you want to play Bloodborne’s PC port you’ll need to provide your own legally obtained copy of the game as the ROM.

Despite the game’s popularity it’s becoming increasingly clear that neither PlayStation or Sony has any interest in giving the game an official PlayStation 5 port.

The only hope for Bloodborne fans now lies with Jacksepticeye and his Bloodborne animated film. Little is known about it so far but it’s apparently aiming to be faithful to what made the game so brilliant in the first place.

Hopefully it performs well because with enough of an outpouring it might just persuade the powers that be to finally let Bloodborne out of whatever storage cabinet it’s currently stashed in…

great atmosphere and design. The smoother frame rate will definitely enhance the experience, especially during those intense boss fights. I’m curious to see how the visuals will hold up in this upgrade as well!
