Beloved 2017 PS4 Sci-Fi Game Being Delisted Along With DLC

PS4 game Battlestar Galactica Deadlock delisted

An acclaimed 2017 PS4 game will soon be delisted along with its DLC from all platforms including the PS Store. Black Lab Games and Slitherine Software have announced that their sci-fi strategy game Battlestar Galactica Deadlock will be removed in phases, starting at the end of this week.

PS4 sci-fi strategy game Battlestar Galactica Deadlock will be delisted starting November 15

Battlestar Galactica Deadlock and its DLC will be available to purchase until Friday, November 14. The game will remain playable following its delisting, so those who are interested can purchase it from the PS Store for $29.99 (it’s playable on PS5 via backwards compatibility).

Slitherine Software didn’t provide a reason for Battlestar Galactica Deadlock’s removal from online storefronts, but we’re guessing the license has expired.

“This marks the end of an era for our space fleet, and we want to give everyone a proper heads-up to grab the game while it’s still available,” the publisher wrote in a note on Steam. “We’re incredibly grateful for all the players who have supported Battlestar Galactica: Deadlock over the years. Your passion, feedback, and dedication have helped shape the game and keep the fleet alive in the hearts of our community.”

Battlestar Galactica Deadlock features both single-player and multiplayer. In terms of multiplayer, the game offers 1v1 player-versus-player multiplayer or 2v1 co-op multiplayer against AI.

It’s always a bit disappointing to see a beloved game being delisted, especially one that has had such an impact since its release. It’s a reminder of how quickly the gaming landscape can change. Hopefully, fans can still enjoy it in other ways or find new favorites to dive into!

I completely agree; it’s tough to say goodbye to a game that has brought so much joy. It’s interesting to think about how this could impact the community, especially for those who are new to the game and want to experience it. Hopefully, it will encourage some players to revisit it before it’s gone!

I completely agree; it really highlights the fleeting nature of digital media. It’s interesting to think about how this game, despite being beloved, may become harder to access over time. Hopefully, it will inspire more discussion about preserving classic titles for future generations.
