Battlefield 6 Guide โ€“ How To Progress Mastery

Upon achieving Career Rank 50 in Battlefield 6, players will no longer unlock items for merely leveling up, even though they can continue to earn Career Ranks into the hundreds and thousands. Instead, they will have to focus on raising their mastery levels across classes, weapons, and vehicles, while earning Badges and Accolade Dog Tags along the way.

This guide for Battlefield 6 is an explainer on why and how to increase Mastery levels.

Career Rank 52-100

Beginning with Career Rank 52 you will unlock a variety of weapon stickers and charms, vehicle decals, and other non-functional cosmetics every two ranks. These unlocks end at Rank 100, but you will continue to earn XP and advance your Career Rank further.

Class And Weapon Assignment Masteries

Achieving Career Rank 20 will unlock Class Assignments, which puts you on the path of progression for class-specific Gadgets, Training Paths, and Loadout Slots.

Assault

  • Deploy Beacon Gadget
  • Incendiary Round Shotgun Gadget
  • Flanker Training
  • Grenadier Training Path
  • Loadout Slot

Engineer

  • Vehicle Supply Crate Gadget
  • Aim Guided Launcher Gadget
  • Combat Engineer Training
  • Combat Engineer Training Path
  • Loadout Slot

Recon

  • Demolition Charge Gadget
  • Tracer Dart Gadget
  • Spec Ops Training
  • Pathfinder Training Path
  • Loadout Slot

Support

  • Smoke Grenade Launcher Gadget
  • Incendiary Airburst Launcher Gadget
  • Supply Pouch Gadgets
  • Fire Support Training
  • Fire Support Training Path
  • Loadout Slot

Additionally, multiple weapons are unlockable through the completion of Weapon Assignment Challenges which only become available at Career Rank 23. These currently include:

  • Kird 6P67 Assault Rifle
  • NVO-228E Assault Rifle
  • L85AE Assault Rifle
  • QBZ-192 Carbine Rifle
  • SG 553R Carbine Rifle
  • SWC-10 Submachine Gun
  • SL9 Submachine Gun
  • KTS100 MK8 Light Machine Gun
  • M240L Light Machine Gun
  • 18.5KS-K Shotgun
  • SVDM Designated Marksman Rifle
  • MRAD Sniper Rifle

Both groups of Assignments can be completed through the normal course of play, including on custom servers while using XP boosters.

Hardware Mastery

Both weapons and vehicles have individualized XP paths of progression, which unlock both functional attachments and cosmetic camouflages.

Non-melee weapons have a variety of attachments, as well as Weapon Packages which are simply pre-configured variants of that particular weapon.

Vehicles can also modify their hardpoints and skins after they have been unlocked with the requisite amount of Hardware XP.

Earning this Hardware XP is as straightforward as actively making use of the given weapon or vehicle in combat, and is earned concurrently with Career Rank XP. Unfortunately, leveling up Hardware Mastery overall will be far more tedious than raising up your Career Rank as it is kill-based.

Accolade Dog Tags And Badges

After all of that, there remain Accolade Dog Tags and Badges to complete earning. Accolade Dog Tags are simply an accessory earned for completing certain in-game Accolades with a bonus Career Rank XP reward. These dog tags have multiple tiers: Metal, Bronze, and Gold denoting the difficulty of the objectives to be achieved.

Badges contribute towards every playerโ€™s Total Badge Rating. These badges are earned over the course of completing Class and Hardware Masteries. There are 212 Hardware Mastery Badges, spread across both weapons and vehicles. An additional 16 Badges can be acquired through completion of the Class Assignments.

As the Hardware Badges are earned in particular, they level up Hardware Rank, of which there are five tiers:

  • Bronze: Hardware Rank 10
  • Silver: Hardware Rank 20
  • Gold: Hardware Rank 30
  • Platinum: Hardware Rank 40
  • Elite (Red and Black): Hardware Rank 50

Both Accolade Dog Tags and Badges are earned by actively using the class, weapon, or vehicle associated with them.

It will be a long and arduous task to max out each and every weapon and vehicle in the game. Your best bet is to make use of servers running small maps with more bots than human players so that you can farm kills in large numbers.

That is everything there is to know about completing Mastery progression in Battlefield 6.
