A rumor has been circulating on forums in recent hours. On 4chan, a rumor was circulating about Rocksteady Studios creating a Batman Beyond video game. Following the failure of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the British developer might be working on a new single-player title.
According to this information, the game would have featured Terry McGinnis in a futuristic Gotham City. An aging Bruce Wayne would serve as a mentor to the young hero. Some internet users also speculated that the project was funded by Sony to make it a PS5/PS6 exclusive.
While the idea may seem appealing, it is, of course, false. Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier clarified on ResetEra that the entire story is misinformation. Rocksteady may well be working on a new Batman title, but nothing has been confirmed yet.
