Whether you play as Warlock, Sorcerer or Wizard, you will be able to utilise the game’s many spell slots in order to gain the upper hand on the battlefield, prosper in dialogue, and woo your chosen partner.
Not only that but with the chance to mix-and-match your class, you can even combine magic with all out bruce force and this is just one of the many reasons why Baldur’s Gate 3 is now widely regarded as one of the best RPGs of all time.
However, if you have completed your fair share of playthroughs of the Larian Studios RPG, this free mod will give you just enough incentive to hit ‘new game’ all over again.
The Sorcerer King is a brand-new mod for Baldur’s Gate 3 and was created by veenab over on Nexus Mods.
Uploaded just 24-hours ago and already boasting over 50 downloads, it is safe to say that BG3 players are eager for more ways to explore the game and this mod sounds like the perfect way to do so.
The Sorcerer King introduces a brand-new patron for the Warlock class with the description reading as follows:
“Your patron is a monstrous tyrannical force akin to a demigod or an overwhelmingly powerful magic user.
You herald this tyrant’s interests, channeling their influence and mind-bending psionic power.”
So many spells
Your warlock will now have access to the following sub-class spell list: Command, Compelled Duel, Wrathful Smite, Hold Person, Mind Spike, Fear, Slow, Confusion, Staggering Smite, Dominate Person, and Synaptic Static.
Additionally, their Intimidating Presence will see them gain proficiency and expertise in intimidation whilst their psionic casting abilities will allow them to cast any spell in their sub-class list without a verbal component.
Your Warlock will also have access to Voice of Tyranny which the number of charges equal to their charisma modifier.
Resetting after a long rest, this ability will allow you to cast the Command spell as a bonus action without spending a spell slot.
Overall, this is for those who wish to take on more of a Dark Urge run without committing to the full evil that comes with it.
