BAFTA Games Awards 2026: 64 Video Games Announced In Longlist

The longlist has been unveiled for the 2026 BAFTA Games Awards.

On 17 April 2026, the prestigious BAFTA Games Awards will return, an occasion designed to honour the very best video game releases of the past year.

The finalised nominees will be unveiled on 12 March but ahead of that date, a longlist has been revealed.

The 64 games included on the longlist inch one step closer to gaining a BAFTA nod, having already been recognised by BAFTA’s 1,700 members to have reached this stage.

Those BAFTA members, composed of games industry professionals, will now be charged with narrowing down the official nominees for each of the ceremony’s 17 categories.

All members will vote for Best Game and British Game, with nominee selection kicking off in February of next year; specialist curated juries will tackle all remaining categories.

In total, 255 games were considered by BAFTA members, released between 16 November 2024 and 14 November 2025.

The Evolving Game category is an exception to this rule.
