The fires of vengeance pulse through the heart of So’lek, the new playable character in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – From the Ashes. It’s nothing new, however, and the killing prowess he displays when unleashed against the RDA is a thing of beauty. However, the latest gameplay trailer for the film-adjacent DLC confirms something far more obvious: Third-person really does look much better.
Ripping a turret out and turning it against the enemy? Unleashing his rage with arms wide open? Catching a ride on an Ikran before diving off to execute an RDA mech? Take your pick – they all benefit from the third-person perspective. If this wasn’t enough, a gameplay walkthrough will be released on November 20th, potentially offering even more third-person goodness.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora – From the Ashes launches on December 19th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Fortunately, base game owners won’t have to purchase it to experience the third-person view. It arrives on December 5th in a free update alongside New Game+. If you’re keen on a new playthrough, then improved gear, a new skill tree and tougher threats await.
