It’s been a chaotic week for Xbox. The president of the American company announced several changes, including a price cut for Game Pass and the key priorities for the brand’s rebranding.
After addressing her employees via an internal memo, the executive granted an interview to the website Game File. She was asked about various topics and couldn’t avoid the subject of exclusives. While no announcements have been made in this area, Sharma truly wants to take her time to make the right choice.
« We’ll take a data-driven and strategic approach, then review our principles and make decisions. We’ll share more information when we’re ready.
We’re not ready to commit at this time. I want to make the right decision, not the quickest one. »
During this interview, she also expressed her ambition to ensure that Game Pass subscribers stay longer and are satisfied with the service. As for « Project Helix, » Microsoft wants to make a big splash with its next console.
« We’ve assembled a team and are investing in the console’s features. We’re doing everything we can to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and quality. We’re investing to deliver a first-class experience, and we want to make sure that all players who want to play on the ninth generation can enjoy a high-performance console with regular updates.
I think the ninth generation is an excellent console, and we want to ensure that the gameplay and gaming experience are flawless. We know we haven’t invested as much as we should have, so we’re coming back to it. »

This sounds like an interesting development for Xbox! It’s great to see leadership taking a thoughtful approach to the future of their exclusives. Looking forward to seeing how these changes unfold!
