The Game Business has reported some changes within the Xbox teams. President Asha Sharma has brought on two new individuals who now hold key positions.
Matthew Ball, who published a book titled The Metaverse in 2022 and previously worked at Amazon Studios, has become the new Chief Strategy Officer at Xbox. Meanwhile, Van Vliet, who led engineering for Microsoft Teams and worked on Amazon’s services, is now the Chief Technology Officer at Xbox.
Finally, Chris Schnakenberg has been promoted to Vice President of Partnerships and Business Development. Sharma issued the following statement.
“These changes are about strengthening our foundation by creating more clarity and improving execution. As we head toward Showcase and beyond, we’ll continue making the changes needed to position XBOX for the future.”
