Anno 117: Pax Romana Demo Now Live on PC, Specs Revealed

Ubisoft has released a playable demo for their upcoming sim strategy game Anno 117: Pax Romana. Starting today, PC players can try the game for free, but only for a limited time. The demo will be available until September 16, 2025.

Anno 117: Pax Romana PC Specs

Alongside the demo, Ubisoft also revealed the PC requirements for Anno 117: Pax Romana. The specs range from the minimum needed to run the game to the highest setting, which the team is calling “Enthusiast.”

According to Ubisoft, the game takes full advantage of technological improvements developed by Ubisoft Mainz using the Empire Engine, introducing new levels of immersion and visual fidelity:

  • GPU-driven dynamic grass movement and terrain displacement mapping – For governors who take pride in seeing their lands come alive, with vegetation swaying naturally in the wind and terrain responding realistically to the expansion of their province.

  • Ray tracing, global illumination, and atmospheric scattering – For governors who appreciate the beauty of the outdoors, where light reflects authentically across surfaces, fog drifts through the marshes of Albion, and weather evolves dynamically throughout the day

  • Crowd simulation and day-night cycle – For governors eager to explore the vibrant streets of their provinces at any hour of the day or witness the energy of a coliseum crowd rising with the rhythm of the day.

Anno 117: Pax Romana is the latest entry in Ubisoft’s long-running city-building strategy series. The game was first playable at Gamescom 2025, where it made its public debut.

Anno 117 was revealed during Ubisoft’s Ubisoft Forward event back in June 2024.

The full game is set to launch on November 13, 2025, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Ubisoft Store, Epic Games Store, and Steam. Ubisoft+ subscribers will also gain access at launch.
