Here’s something that isn’t exactly official. An annual report from Frictional Games reveals that a new version of Amnesia: The Dark Descent is reportedly in the works, with a release scheduled for around the end of 2026.
The Dark Descent is the first installment in this horror franchise, released back in 2010, with the most recent entry being Amnesia: The Bunker in 2023. A new iteration of the very first game is therefore entirely possible, whether in the form of a remake or a remaster.
For now, nothing has been confirmed by the studio behind the game, but if the release is indeed scheduled for late 2026, an announcement shouldn’t be too far off. All we can do is wait.
