CrossCode developer Radical Fish Games has been working hard on its next game, another action RPG known as Alabaster Dawn. And while the demo has an “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, what about the state of early access? The latest trailer at the Triple-i Initiative has finally revealed a date – May 7th for PC.
Of course, it also provided a strong run-through of everything you can expect, from puzzle-solving and boss battles to restoring civilization as a whole. As a retro-style action RPG, Alabaster Dawn focuses on Juno, who embarks on a journey to save the world. Fighting the curse that has overtaken the land is only part of the solution, as you also need to rebuild different towns.
While its combat is based on CrossCode, other inspirations include Kingdom Hearts and Devil May Cry. And while elements return, allowing for unique combos, you can use eight different weapons, each with its own skill trees. It’s pretty snazzy, and the new enemies look especially impressive thanks to the new 2.5D art style.
Alabaster Dawn will apparently offer 30 to 60 hours of gameplay in its full release. As for early access and what it has to offer, stay tuned for more details.
