When it launches on November 19 (if all goes well), Grand Theft Auto VI will undoubtedly be one of the biggest cultural phenomena in history. So much so that some companies could come to a standstill on release day.
That’s what could have happened to Burger Motorsports. In a statement posted on social media, the American automotive parts manufacturer and tuner announced it would suspend operations for the entire day on November 19. Too many employees had decided to take the day off to enjoy GTA VI, causing major scheduling conflicts.
Burger Motorsports even described the release of Rockstar’s game as an “unprecedented cultural event.” Operations will resume once “employees have completed their initial exploration (of Vice City), finished at least one mission, and returned to reality.”
