DON’T NOD is in serious trouble and could run out of cash by November

Are we about to witness the demise of yet another big studio in the video game industry? Let’s hope that doesn’t happen, but DON’T NOD’s situation is deeply concerning…

The French company, which has offices in Paris and Montreal, could soon run out of money. This is according to a report by the auditors published this month. It seems DON’T NOD could have exhausted its entire cash reserves by November.

Tencent, which holds a 42% stake in the company, does not currently wish to increase its capital or even finance a new project. DON’T NOD, which recently released Aphelion, is known for games such as Jusant, Life is Strange, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, and Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden.

It’s always concerning to hear about the challenges faced by studios like DON’T NOD. Their contributions to the gaming industry have been significant, and it would be a shame to see them go. Here’s hoping they find a way to navigate through these tough times.
