With the resounding success of the TV series and the lack of a true new single-player game for over a decade now, gamers are clamoring for the return of Fallout on consoles and PC. To that end, Microsoft and Bethesda Game Studios may opt to produce one or more remasters.

For months now, rumors about a modernized version of Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas have been making headlines. During a recent podcast, Windows Central journalist Jez Corden discussed these hypothetical projects.

Corden believes that a first Fallout remaster could be released as early as 2027. It might be followed by a second one in 2028. We don’t know which of the two would come first. Finally, Corden added that The Elder Scrolls VI is still a long way from completion and that we shouldn’t expect anything before 2028, or even 2029.

Absolutely! Remasters could not only revive the classic gameplay but also introduce a new generation to the Fallout universe. It’ll be interesting to see how they update the graphics and mechanics while staying true to the original charm.
