Following the launch of the Xbox Player Voice platform, Microsoft has received a large number of requests from its community. The return of exclusives, free online play, and improved backward compatibility are among the top three most requested topics.
Also high on the list is a request for the addition of a family plan for Xbox Game Pass. In an article, the website Windows Central revealed one of the reasons that prevented such a subscription from being launched.
According to these rumors, it was Electronic Arts that opposed its creation. The publisher, which partners with Game Pass by offering its EA Play service, “fully hated the idea.” Microsoft had, however, tested the concept last year in Ireland and Colombia.
Thus, as long as EA remains in partnership with Xbox, the family plan is unlikely to see the light of day.

It’s interesting to see how different companies are responding to subscription models in the gaming industry. The competition between platforms is definitely heating up, and it will be intriguing to see how this impacts players in the long run. Thanks for sharing this update!
