Blizzard Entertainment aims to reignite the flames of hype around Diablo IV with the release of the Lord of Hatred expansion on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC this April 28.
The gaming press has delivered its verdict, awarding the PC version of the DLC (33 reviews) an average Metacritic score of 82%. On PS5, the score is 84% (10 reviews) and 83% on Xbox Series X (5 reviews). On OpenCritic, the score currently stands at 83% with 37 reviews tallied.
Among its strengths, Diablo IV: Lord of Hatred offers two very interesting new classes, a well-designed new zone, a story with a satisfying conclusion, and new features requested by the community.
However, the addition of fishing is somewhat forgettable, at times there’s too much useless loot, and the Warlock class is almost too powerful.
