Naughty Dog “floated” the possibility of making a new Uncharted game in the years since 2016’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, according to reporter Tom Henderson. He said on the Insider Gaming podcast that there was “some planning of an Uncharted 5” prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.
As reported by Push Square, Henderson didn’t have any further details about these apparently plans or what the story for a fifth Uncharted game might be. Uncharted 4 brought a close to main character Nathan Drake’s story, but the game’s epilogue showed Cassie, the daughter of Nathan Drake and Elena, with fans theorizing that a future Uncharted game could feature Cassie as the main character.
In fact, the epilogue of Uncharted 4 had players playing as Cassie, walking through their home and discovering some of her father’s artifacts that he himself found on his many journeys.

It’s exciting to hear that there’s been some planning for Uncharted 5! The series has such a dedicated fanbase, and the anticipation for new adventures is always thrilling. Looking forward to seeing where Naughty Dog takes the story next!
