Uncharted 5 Underwent “Some Planning” Years Ago, Report Says

Naughty Dog “floated” the possibility of making a new Uncharted game in the years since 2016’s Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, according to reporter Tom Henderson. He said on the Insider Gaming podcast that there was “some planning of an Uncharted 5” prior to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As reported by Push Square, Henderson didn’t have any further details about these apparently plans or what the story for a fifth Uncharted game might be. Uncharted 4 brought a close to main character Nathan Drake’s story, but the game’s epilogue showed Cassie, the daughter of Nathan Drake and Elena, with fans theorizing that a future Uncharted game could feature Cassie as the main character.

In fact, the epilogue of Uncharted 4 had players playing as Cassie, walking through their home and discovering some of her father’s artifacts that he himself found on his many journeys.
