We didn’t have to wait until Pokémon Day 2026 to get confirmation of a rumor that had been circulating for a while. Indeed, Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen will soon be back on Switch.
The two games, originally released on Game Boy Advance in 2004, will return to Switch on February 27, 2026. They will not be included in Nintendo Switch Online, but will be sold separately via the eShop for €19.99 each. It should be noted that this is a simple port with no graphical or gameplay improvements.
