Blizzard Staying Mum About Diablo 4 On Switch 2

The 30th anniversary for Diablo means all sorts of cool announcements–like the newest Warlock class on the way for multiple games–but so far, Switch 2 isn’t a part of the celebration. Eurogamer decided to ask developer Blizzard about Diablo IV coming to Nintendo’s new system or even a Switch 2 upgrade for Diablo II: Resurrected. A spokesperson responded that they had nothing to comment on about those topics.

Earlier this week, Blizzard revealed major updates for Diablo IV and Diablo II: Resurrected. The former is receiving the Lord of Hatred expansion in April, while the latter just got the Reign of the Warlock DLC (which is available on Switch).

The dungeon-crawler franchise first arrived on a Nintendo platform with Diablo 3: Eternal Collection on Switch in 2018. In fact, the game even got The Legend of Zelda crossover items, such as a Triforce portrait. This was followed by Blizzard bringing Diablo II: Resurrected to Switch in 2021, so there is precedent for the series on Nintendo’s home console.
