Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has deceived SEGA in terms of sales

Although it sold a million units less than a month after its initial launch, Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds has gone to become clearly a commercial failure for SEGA.

In fact, the Japanese publisher mentioned in its latest financial report that sales of its racing game were lower than expected. This is despite positive reviews on both Metacritic (80%) and Steam (a “very positive” average).

SEGA now hopes to sell an additional million copies during the current fiscal year thanks to the release of new DLC.
