The Oscars Nominations Have Offcially Been Released

The 98th annual Oscars nominations have been announced in anticipation of the full awards show, which will take place on Sunday, March 15, 2026.

The full list was announced by Danielle Brooks and Lewis Pullman at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Beverly Hills. Many great films and actors were nominated, including Timothée Chalamet for his role in Marty Supreme and Jacob Elordi for his supporting role in Frankenstein. History was also made today, as the hit film Sinners received a record-breaking 16 nominations. The single film record was previously in a three-way tie for 14 nominations between All About Eve, Titanic, and La La Land.

Marty Supreme Review

Ryan Coogler’s passion project wasn’t the only movie to score high; however, One Battle After Another raked in more than a respectable 13 Oscar nominations. Other movies like Marty Supreme, Frankenstein, and Sentimental Value each received 9 nominations. Warner Bros. Studio, even amid a tumultuous time in the industry, racked up a staggering 30 nominations for its works. Also returning after his 2025 appearance hosting the Oscars is Conan O’Brien, who will start the show at the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood and air live on ABC on Sunday, March 15th.

Netflix’s iconic K-Pop Demon Hunters has also earned a nomination for Music (Original Song) with their hit song Golden, which topped Billboard charts and won a Golden Globe. K-Pop Demon Hunters also got a nod for Best Animated Film, alongside movies like Disney’s Zootopia 2 and Arco, directed by Ugo Bienvenu and produced by Natalie Portman. Some movies weren’t so lucky with Wicked: For Good, notably being left out of the nominations after a $524 million box office debut this year, and Guillermo del Toro also being passed over for directing his movie, Frankenstein.
