Originally scheduled for release on March 19, the shoot ’em up Psyvariar 3 has just been pushed back to May 21, 2026. Publisher SUCCESS Corporation stated that, due to various circumstances, the game needed a little more time to be ready for release.
Psyvariar 3 is an intense vertical arcade shoot ’em up, the new entry in the classic Psyvariar series. The game retains the characteristic Buzz system that rewards players for grazing enemy fire, offers seven playable pilots with unique styles and scores, multiple modes (arcade, mission, endless, etc.), and a neo-retro 3D aesthetic, all while modernizing the controls.
The game is planned for PC, Switch, Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
