World of Warcraft Player Housing Early Access Now Live for Midnight Owners

World of Warcraft Player Housing Early Access Now Live for Midnight Owners

Blizzard has launched World of Warcraft’s long-awaited player housing feature through early access. Anyone who owns the upcoming Midnight expansion can access the feature starting today.

Thanks to The War Within update 11.2.7, titled The Warning, players can dive into early housing while also getting new content such as the Midnight prologue questline. This update officially kicks off the narrative shift toward the expansion’s full launch on March 3, 2026.

Midnight players can start populating their first homes the moment they update their game and log in. Once updated, they’ll receive a new quest introducing the housing system. This eventually leads to purchasing their first home in one of the two faction neighborhoods. The first of two houses a warband can own (one per faction).

The feature launches with an initial welcome package containing hundreds of décor items. Moving forward, additional décor will be tied to quests, achievements (including ones from older expansions), reputation vendors, dungeons, raids, and special events. Achievement hunters and interior-design fans will have plenty to dig into.

How to Unlock World of Warcraft Player Housing Early

To try out the new housing system, all you need is a pre-order of Midnight. Even the base edition grants early access starting today.

Player housing has been one of the most requested features in MMORPGs for decades, and it’s honestly surprising that Blizzard finally added it after 20 years. Still, it’s finally here, and it’ll be interesting to see how creative the community gets.
