FromSoftware took the spotlight during Sony’s recent State of Play showcased to unveil the first DLC for Elden Ring: Nightreign – The Forsaken Hollows. The DLC is slated to hit PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S on December 4, and will bring with it a host of new content. Check out the trailer below.
Headlining Elden Ring: Nightreign – The Forsaken Hollows are two new playable characters: the Scholar and the Undertaker. The Scholar has been described as an academic that is capable of impressive feats when it comes to arcane abilities, as well as abilities that revolve around observing the battlefield. The Undertaker, on the other hand, will have impressive strength and faith levels that will let him take on enemies with “ruthless efficiency”.
Along with this, there will be two new boss fights that players can take on in their adventures in Limveld, as well as a new Shifting Earth effect, dubbed The Great Hollow. This new Shifting Earth effect causes a cavity to show up in Limveld, strewn with exotic ruins, temples, sacred towers, as well as crystals that keep exuding a life-draining miasma.
While not too many details about the new content in Elden Ring: Nightreign – The Forsaken Hollows have been revealed, FromSoftware’s parent company Kadokawa Corporation had the DLC will “take it even further” for Elden Ring: Nightreign in terms of sales.
