With The Game Awards right around the corner and the end of the year creeping up closer, game announcements continue to flow in. This Tuesday’s PlayStation State of Play will be a special episode, focusing on games created in Japan and across Asia. The presentation will be hosted by voice actor Yuki Kaji, who will be introducing games, interviews, and new looks at anticipated titles. This State of Play will start at 7:00 AM JST (2:00 PM PT / 5:00 PM ET). The Japanese PlayStation YouTube channel will feature a full Japanese-language version, while the PlayStation YouTube channel will feature the Japanese audio with English subtitles.
According to Sony, the show will last longer than 40 minutes, primarily “focused on games created in Japan and across Asia, alongside a few other exciting updates.” While this might mean that Western-developed PlayStation first-party titles like Housemarque’s Saros, Marvel’s Wolverine, and Naughty Dog’s Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet may not be the focus of this State of Play, there are a lot of great possibilities to highlight. One of these titles includes Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls, which is being developed in Japan by Arc System Works and Sony and Marvel Games. This is the same company that spawned the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue franchise.
Another possible spotlight in this special State of Play could be something for Where Winds Meet. It is an upcoming action game from Chinese developer Everstone Studio. The game was previously announced to be a PlayStation exclusive at launch. Where Winds Meet is an epic Wuxia open-world action-adventure RPG set in ancient China in the tenth century. Players assume the role of a young sword master as they embark on a journey to uncover the mysteries of their own identity. With the expected global launch being this Friday, November 14th, it would not be a surprise to see one last promo.

Other notable titles include the Elden Ring Nightreign DLC, Phantom Blade Zero, Tides of Annihilation, or Petit Planet (a new cozy life sim from the creators of Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail). And like many Souls fans out there, we can only keep dreaming about a new teaser for Bloodborne.
State of Play Japan airs on YouTube on November 11 at 2pm PT / 5pm ET / 11pm CEST | November 12 at 7am JST.
