PS5 players have just been treated to a 2024 Nintendo Switch console exclusive adventure game, and it’s become an instant hit. GOTY nominee 1000xResist released with a price tag of $19.99, and a limited-time discount of 20% for PS Plus users, making it $15.99 for subscribers.

1000xResist is described as a “hyper-cinematic narrative adventure” game. Players step into the shoes of a “watcher” named Iris 1,000 years into the future as humanity nears its end.
“After a mysterious alien race arrives, referred to as the Occupants, bringing with it a terrible disease, humanity is all but wiped out,” reads an official overview. “The survivors head underground and begin to serve the ALLMOTHER who rules this new society.”
Quite a few threads have popped up on gaming forums, with players pleasantly surprised by the experience.
“One of the best games of the past few years!” wrote a ResetEra user. “This is one of my favorite pieces of game writing of the past decade,” added another.
PS5 subreddit has been singing similar praises.
