Outer Worlds 2 temporarily unavailable to purchase on Xbox

Obsidian’s RPG sequel The Outer Worlds 2launches today. But the process hasn’t been as seamless as the devs and series fans would have liked. Shortly after the game’s launch at 1 p.m. EDT, would-be players began reporting difficulty accessing the game on Xbox consoles, Windows PC, and via Game Pass. The issues with accessing The Outer Worlds 2 are due to a wider outage affecting Microsoft’s Azure platform, which is the digital foundation for much of the company’s software and networking infrastructure.
