A new PS5 exclusive was released very recently, giving Sony’s latest console another solid title to its long list of games. For fans of games like The Wolf Among Us or Life is Strange, Dispatch is out now, and those who have played it seem to be enjoying it.
What is Dispatch?
Developed by AdHoc, Dispatch is an adventure game by the writers and directors behind Tales from the Borderlands and The Wolf Among Us. It follows several heroes and ex-supervillains at a superhero dispatch center. Its voice cast includes Aaron Paul, Laura Bailey, Jeffery Wright, Charlie White, Erin Yvette, Alanah Pearce, Travis Willingham, Matthew Mercer, and many more.
Check out the trailer below to get a glimpse of what to expect from Dispatch:
“You play as Robert Robertson, AKA Mecha Man, whose mech-suit is destroyed in a battle against his nemesis, forcing him to take a job at a superhero dispatch center: not as a hero, but a dispatcher,” reads Dispatch’s description.
“As their dispatcher, you take charge of a team of ex-supervillains given a shot at redemption,” continues the game’s description. “Manage and level up your roster, all while navigating office relationships and romances, and rebuilding your suit for a shot at revenge!”
Dispatch will run for eight episodes and will release in pairs every week. This means the conclusion of the game will be available to players on November 12.
Although the entirety of Dispatch has yet to be released, some critics have been raving about the new adventure game. There have been a handful of critic reviews for the first two episodes, and they currently average an 83 on the review aggregate site Metacritic.
Although critic reviews are sparse, player reviews are plentiful and are just as positive. On the PS Store, global player ratings are averaging 4.92 stars out of five. Also, Steam reviews are currently “Very Positive” with over 5,400 players rating the game.
