Krafton (PUBG, Tango Gameworks, Subnautica) will focus entirely on AI from now on

South Korean firm Krafton has decided to put (almost) all its eggs in the artificial intelligence basket. In a press release, the publisher announced an investment of over 100 billion Korean won (around €60 million) to automate its work.

Agentic AI (which sets goals, plans, and executes tasks) will handle R&D, HR, certain creative activities, and the development of management systems. Krafton CEO Chang-han Kim detailed his vision in a lengthy statement.

“Starting today, Krafton will automate work centered on agentic AI and fully implement an AI-centered management system where employees will focus on creative activities and solving complex problems. We will take a leap forward as a company that promotes employee growth and expands the organization’s areas of challenge through AI.”

Simply put, an AI First culture will be implemented to solve problems within the organization. The goal here is to increase productivity and the value of the company in the medium and long term.
