Introduction to “Age of Ascent”
The popular digital card game Gods Unchained is set to enrich its gameplay with the upcoming “Age of Ascent” expansion. Scheduled for release at 12 AM UTC on October 21, this new set introduces 24 unique cards across varying rarity levels, enhancing the strategic depth of the game. Notably, this expansion will not feature any neutral cards, focusing instead on further diversifying the existing card factions.
Exploring the New Cards
The “Age of Ascent” expansion is distinguished by the introduction of six Mythic Variants. These are exceptionally rare Legendary cards, each featuring unique artwork and enhanced prestige. Among the highlights are cards such as Charity, Shining Pilgrim; Thalor, Hexbinder; and Ulvar, the Grovekeeper, all of which are exclusive to the Shiny Packs. Other notable additions include Neferu, Umbral Accountant, and Mayday, Jaded Admiral, which can be found in Booster, Premium, and Shiny packs. Additionally, the “Oddi and Glinn” variant offers a unique acquisition path as it is exclusively available through a sealed 7-win run.
New Features and Player Benefits
A notable gameplay addition in this expansion is the “Fellowship” keyword, which triggers beneficial effects when a creature from a different tribe is summoned. These effects can include regeneration and statistical enhancements, as seen with the card Ulvar, the Grovekeeper, which boasts increases in Regen, HP, and Damage.
Moreover, players investing significantly in the game can receive Elite rewards. Every $1,000 spent on packs earns players two Diamond copies of the exclusive Promo card “Adventure Party Leader,” designed as a tribute to the deeply committed players within the Gods Unchained community.
Discounts Through Divine Tithings
The expansion also introduces a method for players to receive discounts on card packs. Through the Divine Tithings system, players can burn existing cards to earn DT points, which in turn can be used to obtain discounts of up to 35% on new packs. Players require a minimum of 12,000 DT points to start receiving discounts, with the maximum discount offered at 60,000 DT points.
Availability of New Cards
The new “Age of Ascent” cards are available for purchase in several pack variants: Booster, Premium, and Shiny. Each pack type includes six cards, with different probabilities of encountering rare variants. These packs are sold in limited quantities, and the sales event is set to last 28 days, potentially ending sooner if stocks run out.
