007 First Light Review: one of the best James Bond games ever

007 First Light Review: one of the best James Bond games ever

007 First Light is available for early access starting May 26, 2026 (and May 27 for everyone else) on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC, and has already been reviewed by the gaming press.

The scores have just been released, with 007 First Light boasting a Metacritic average of 88% on PS5 (51 reviews) and 87% on PC (24 reviews). The OpenCritic score stands at 89% based on a total of 34 reviews. These scores are, of course, subject to change.

Those who have tried the title praise the well-developed characters, constant immersion, and excellent replayability. There are plenty of approaches to choose from, including effective stealth mechanics inspired by Hitman. The game’s length is also very satisfying, and the action is explosive.

Among the flaws of 007 First Light, the AI has room for improvement, the technical optimization isn’t always good, and the soundtrack feels somewhat underwhelming.
