Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025: All The Biggest Announcements

Xbox Tokyo Game Show 2025: All The Biggest Announcements

It’s Tokyo Game Show week, and once again, Xbox has returned for a new livestream in which it’ll show off upcoming games. Like last year, the showcase will be focused on various first-party games and titles from Xbox partners in Japan, across Asia, and around the world, with the event kicking off at 3 AM PT / 6 AM ET on September 25.

While we’re expecting to see new trailers for multiple Xbox games that we already know are on the way–like Ninja Gaiden 4–there is also speculation that Forza Horizon 6 will be unveiled today. The game is rumored to be set in Japan, so a Tokyo Game Show announcement makes perfect sense for an open-world racing experience that celebrates Japanese car culture. Beyond that, we’re also expecting a quick look at Xbox games that’ll be out later this year, like The Outer Worlds 2 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 7.

We’ll be covering the event as it unfolds–at an incredibly early hour in the US–so you can scroll below for all the announcements.

Gungrave Gore: Blood Heat

Over-the-top action series Gungrave is making a comeback, and as you’d expect from this series, it looks heavy on action and massively oversized guns. The game is a full remake of 2022’s Gungrave Gore, polishing it up for modern systems.

007: First Light

Gemma Chan is joining the ensemble cast of 007: First Light. The Marvel’s Eternals takes on the role of Selina Tan, MI6’s Head of Tactical Simulation.

Aniimo

A new look at creature-wrangling game Aniimo was shown off, revealing more details about the inhabitants of the world of Idyll, their personalities, their behaviors, and their relationships with the environment.

Double Dragon: Revive

In the mood for some old-school beat-’em-up action? Then you’ll want to check out Double Dragon: Revive when it launches on October 23.

Hitman: World of Assassination

If you correctly guessed that Bruce Lee was going to guest-star in the Hitman: World of Assassination trilogy, then we’d like you to pick our lottery numbers.

Monster Hunter Stories 1 and 2 is coming to Xbox next month

In addition to a new story trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Reflection, Capcom also confirmed that Monster Hunter Stories and Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin will land on Xbox Series X|S on November 14.

Sudden Strike 5

It has been almost a decade since the last Sudden Strike game was released, and Sudden Strike 5 looks like a grand return for the WW2-era real-time strategy game series. It’ll be out on PC in 2026.
