After several consecutive price hikes, Xbox Game Pass may soon offer more affordable options for consumers. This is what Asha Sharma, the new head of Xbox, hinted at during an interview with The Information.
She specifically stated that her goal is to make “future consoles and products like Game Pass more attractive to a wider audience.” Sharma appears ready to reevaluate the serviceβs pricing by offering more affordable plans.
Last October, Microsoft decided to implement a significant price increase for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, raising it from β¬17.99 per month to β¬26.99. Currently, the most affordable option is Xbox Game Pass Essential, priced at β¬8.99 per month. It includes over fifty games and online multiplayer on console.
Finally, the same report mentions a potential partnership between Netflix and Xbox. Greg Peters, co-CEO of the SVOD service, stated that he had discussed various collaboration possibilities between Netflix and Xbox with Sharma. This could involve bundled offers combining the two subscriptions. Nothing has been confirmed at this time.
