When making its announcements about Game Pass, Microsoft also discussed the new features added to its cloud gaming service. After being ontroduced in 2020, the service officially leaves beta this week.
In addition to now being included in all three Game Pass subscription plans, Xbox Cloud Gaming will be able to reach 1440p resolution on a selection of compatible games and devices. This quality will only be available to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers though, and will also benefit from shorter loading times.
In addition, the bitrate (data processing speed) is expected to increase to 27 Mbps instead of the previous 10 Mbps, improving visual quality and reduce image artifacts.
This is an exciting update for Xbox Cloud Gaming! The increase to 1440p resolution is sure to enhance the gaming experience for many players. Looking forward to seeing how these new features will improve Game Pass as well!
