2K has announced the latest game in their WWE Franchise, WWE 2K26. We have the four covers, release dates and a lot of new and improved features to go over.

CM Punk graces the cover of the WWE 2K26 Standard Edition, and stars in this year’s 2K Showcase, called “Punked – CM Punk’s Personal Journey”. In Showcase, you’ll relive some of CM Punk’s biggest moments and even answer a few ‘what ifs,’ including “What if CM Punk never left the WWE”. The mode is narrated by the man himself, CM Punk.

WWE 2K26 offers three more editions with their own special covers, starting with the King of Kings Edition, with The Game, Triple H on the cover. The edition comes with Ringside Pass Premium Season 1, Triple H ‘98 and Stephanie McMahon ‘00 as playable characters, 32,500 VC (Virtual Currency) and a special Joe Hendry Pack, all included with the Standard Edition.

WWE 2K26 The Attitude Era Edition pays tribute to the late 90’s, one of the hottest eras in the WWE’s history. This edition comes with playable characters Kane ‘98, The Rock ‘99, Chyna ‘97, special MyFACTION cards for Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, 1998’s Raw Is War Arena, special emotes and 100,000 VC.

The Monday Night Wars Edition recounts the famous era when the WWE and WCW’s competition drove both companies to amazing heights, until the WWE bought WCW.  This edition comes with playable characters Shawn Michaels (DX), Macho Man Randy Savage ‘98, Rowdy Roddy Piper ‘98, the WCW Thunder Arena and access to the Wrestlemania 42 Pack, which comes post-launch.

WWE 2K26 will feature over 400 playable characters, including current era favourites like Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Rhea Ripley and the recently retired John Cena, as well as blasts from the past, including Eddie Guerrero, Bret ‘The Hitman’ Hart and Andre the Giant. While not all characters are available out of the box, many can be earned through gameplay, and others can be purchased as DLC.

Four new match types will grace WWE 2K26, including the Inferno Match, where you have to set your opponent on fire to win, Three Stages of Hell, a gauntlet of 3 match-types all in one (which match types you choose is up to you), the I Quit Match, where you have to beat your opponent and stick a microphone in their face to hear them quit and Dumpster Match. Tables are now stackable, and they’ve introduced thumb tacks into the arsenal of weapons that can be used.

Customized players get a big upgrade in WWE 2K26 with double the slots, letting you create 200 wrestlers and 2000 images, and adding improved body morphing and picture-import facial mapping to bring the customization experience to the next level. Combined with all the existing cosmetic options they have (even two-toned hair), your characters are limited only by your imagination.

WWE 2K26 also sees major upgrades to MyRise, adding more features for replayability, including letting you play beyond the narrative story. The Universe lets you run the WWE your way, complete with a WWE Draft. The Island has been expanded, and MyGM allows you to book matches with more participants, intergender matches, and so much more.
