World of Warcraft’s most infamous and expensive mount might be coming back after having only been available for a limited time.
According to a datamine by Wowhead, a shop-file description mentions a “Brutosaur Comeback.” The description doesn’t specify which massive dinosaur Brutosaur mount it is, but it’s likely not the original Mighty Caravan Brutosaur that was available during the game’s Battle for Azeroth expansion to the tune of 5 million gold.
That leaves the Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur, which was available during a three-month period for WoW’s 20th anniversary, as the likely candidate. The mount cost $90, making it the most expensive single in-game-shop item in the MMORPG’s history. Wowhead estimates Blizzard could have made around $15 million selling the Trader’s Gilded Brutosaur, and if that’s the case, it’s hardly a surprise the developer would offer it up again for those who didn’t bite the first time.
