While NVIDIA has already secured partnerships with major names like Bethesda, Ubisoft, and Capcom for its DLSS 5, other video game studios and publishers have been quick to take a swipe at this new version.
So far, the creators of Among Us published a fake comparison showing their game with and without DLSS 5. Innersloth openly mocks the exaggerated rendering of faces with this technology. This humor was also picked up by the studio behind Cult of the Lamb and the team responsible for Temtem. Super Meat Boy 3D was also the subject of this parody. Hideki Kamiya (Okami, Resident Evil 2, Bayonetta) has also expressed skepticism.
This clearly demonstrates that the gaming industry is far from fully convinced by NVIDIA’s new technology.
