Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun’s New Episode Gives the Invisible Boy a Second Chance

The Spring 2026 anime season is off to a delightful start with the return of some cool isekai anime, such as Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun. Part of what makes Iruma-kun so effective is how it actually focuses a little less on the well-worn isekai tropes and is more about compelling everyday narratives in a fantasy setting. The new season’s premiere episode, “The Other Demon in the Misfit Class,” is a fine example of this. The story may be isekai, but it hardly feels that way when topics such as expressing oneself and having a sense of belonging are this episode’s foundation.
