Valve presents its new home console, the Steam Machine

Valve clearly didn’t hold back with its announcements expected to be made this week. The American company revealed not one, but three different devices.

Here, we’ll discuss the brand new Steam Machine, which is said to be six times more powerful than a Steam Deck. With a cubic shape and 152 mm size, this home console will allow you to play PC games on a TV. It has a Gigabit Ethernet port, a DisplayPort 1.4, an HDMI 2.0, a USB-C port, and four USB-A ports. Customers will be able to choose between a 512 GB version and a 2 TB version. There will also be a slot for a microSD card.

With its console, Valve promises a 4K experience at 60 frames per second with FSR thanks to an AMD processor and graphics processor. The power supply is built directly into the Steam Machine. It runs on SteamOS and will have a compatibility program to identify officially optimized games.

Finally, since the Steam Machine is primarily a PC, users will have the opportunity to install their own applications and another operating system.
