At the end of last week, Valve published an article on Steam in which the teams said they now “hope” to release the company’s future devices in 2026. The brand cited memory and storage shortages as the reason for this delay.
This led many to wonder whether the Steam Machine, Steam Frame, and Steam Controller might ultimately be pushed back until next year. To clarify the situation, Kaci Aitchison Boyle, Valve’s press officer, spoke to The Verge.
She stated that “nothing has actually changed on our end” regarding the launch of the three devices. The original version of the blog post on Steam has also been updated to remove the word “hope” and mention that “all three products will be available this year.”
