A promising upcoming PS5 action game has released its third trailer, and fans can’t help but liken it to a long-forgotten RPG series. Although HideWorks’ Liminal Point is inspired by classic horror games like Resident Evil and Silent Hill, we’re getting a lot of Parasite Eve vibes here, and we can’t wait to see how this one turns out.

In case Liminal Point flew under your radar, it’s an indie psychological survival horror game with stunning cinematics and isometric gameplay that looks pretty good so far. Check out the latest trailer below:
“This is probably the closest thing we’ll get to the first Parasite Eve game,” wrote one player. “RE, SH, and Parasite Eve mixed into one glorious bag,” wrote another.
As massive fans of Parasite Eve here, we’re keeping our fingers crossed for Liminal Point. Unfortunately, Square Enix doesn’t seem too keen on reviving its beloved PlayStation series, the last sighting of which we got on the PlayStation Portable in 2010/11.
“Set on a desolate, fog-covered island shrouded in mystery, you will step into the role of Lyra, a once-rising rock star, as she uncovers the haunting truth behind the disappearance of her bandmate, Mira — and the sinister secrets the island holds,” reads an official overview of Liminal Point.
