Just as promised, Nintendo has held a Nintendo Direct dedicated to Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream this Thursday. We learned that the game will be released on April 16, 2026 on Switch. It will of course be backward compatible with Switch 2.
During the approximately 20-minute presentation, Nintendo shared numerous gameplay sequences and features of its life simulation game. Players will be able to create male, female, or non-binary Miis and choose their romantic preferences.
The island will feature buildings and shops where players can buy clothes and various items. Finally, up to eight Miis can live in the same house.
