Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Just Surprise-Released On Switch And Switch 2

Switch and Switch 2 owners can now experience the start of Lara Croft’s Survivor trilogy. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition has not only been announced out of nowhere for Nintendo’s systems, but the survival-adventure game is now available on both consoles, too.

Developer Aspyr is behind the Switch and Switch 2 ports for Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, according to the official Tomb Raider website. The game features everything from the original 2014 Definitive Edition release, including online multiplayer for up to eight people. Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition has a download size of 27.3GB on Switch 2 and 27.1GB on Switch.

Both versions of Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition cost $20–there’s no surcharge on Switch 2–and there’s a special 10% launch discount through November 24. Not only that, but there’s also a stackable loyalty discount for people who own the Tomb Raider remasters on Switch. So if you have Tomb Raider VI-VI Remastered, for example, you get an additional 10% off for 20% off total. And then another 10% can be added by owning Tomb Raider I-III Remastered.
