Although it’s not the priority right now, what with the remake of the first game will be released this year, Tomb Raider: Catalyst is getting some attention of fans ahead of its launch in 2027. This completely new adventure is extremely ambitious and could redefine the codes of the saga.
According to insider V SCOOPER, who leaked the fact that the game would be set in India, Catalyst will feature an open-world structure. Players will be able to explore snow-capped mountains, jungles, and deserts, all of which are expected to coexist on the same map.
According to this information, Crystal Dynamics has opted for an open world as part of a broader vision that aims to redefine the mechanics and gameplay systems. Thus, don’t go and expect a simple huge map a la Ubisoft.
