Tim Sweeney believes AI will be used on almost all video games in the future

The CEO of Epic Games is definitely very talkative when it comes to commenting on trends in the tech and gaming markets. After discussing the consequences of the RAM shortage, Tim Sweeney spoke about artificial intelligence.

On X, Sweeney stated that he does not believe it is necessary to include a disclaimer stating that a game sold on an online store contains elements created by AI. Sweeney believes that generative artificial intelligence will be present in “nearly all future productions”. Thus, he does not think it is important to specify this in a video game’s description.

“Agreed. The AI tag is relevant to art exhibits for authorship disclosure, and to digital content licensing marketplaces where buyers need to understand the rights situation. It makes no sense for game stores, where AI will be involved in nearly all future production.”
