This year’s gaming handheld war rages over premium hardware — but what we really need are weird and affordable devices

I’d argue that gaming handheld PCs finally hit their stride and became mainstream in 2025. Now, as we start the new year, I want to see some fun and weird handheld designs to shake things up.
