There are no plans for official mod support for Crimson Desert

There are still a few things missing from Crimson Desert to make it a complete experience. Among the features expected on PC is, of course, mod support. However, Pearl Abyss seems reluctant to address this issue for now.

During a discussion with investors, Heo Jin-young, the studio’s CEO, was asked about this. The development team is currently considering the introduction of mods, but no concrete plans have been established yet.

In fact, the president of Pearl Abyss clarified that “making modding tools available would require disclosing a significant portion of the game engine; therefore, no concrete plans have been established yet.”

Furthermore, he added that the developers “tried to implement multiplayer mode internally, but certain graphical aspects had to be sacrificed due to current technical limitations.”

It’s interesting to hear about the current state of Crimson Desert. It’s a bit disappointing that there are no plans for official mod support, but it’s great to know that the developers are still working on enhancing the overall experience. Looking forward to seeing how it evolves!
