Tomb Raider co-creator Paul Douglas commented on Bluesky about the recent announcement of the remake called Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, expressing a personal preference for new, original adventures rather than revisiting or remastering classic games.
In other posts, he added that he is looking forward to the two upcoming games that have been announced. Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis, a reimagined remake of the first Tomb Raider, is scheduled for release in 2026, while Tomb Raider: Catalyst, a new installment, is scheduled for release in 2027.
Both titles were revealed at The Game Awards 2025 and caused a sensation among the gaming community.
