Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is coming to Xbox Series and Switch 2 this Thursday, January 22, 2026. The version for Nintendo’s console has already been scrutinized by the YouTube channel Digital Foundry, which has posted its full technical specifications.
The game runs at 1080p at 30 FPS in docked mode and at 1080p with DLSS, again at 30 frames per second, in portable mode. The visual quality is also superior to that of the PS4 version. In terms of textures, this Switch 2 version can sometimes come close to the PS5 rendering. Loading times are also very satisfactory, with a wait of 6 to 8 seconds when moving from one chapter to another.
Thus, the Switch 2 port of Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade seems to be great. It currently has a Metacritic average of 90%.
